Indonesian pop-rock group Slank will launch a new album in Japan, in collaboration with Japanese band The Big Hip. Slank lead singer Kaka said the new album would feature 12 songs written in three languages — Indonesian, English and Japanese. Slank has just released a collaboration album with Japanese band, The Big Hip. In June 2008, tittled “ Slank The Big Hip” The album released both in Japan and Indonesia. The album is in 3 languages, Japanese, Indonesian and English. THE BLUE HEARTS (1987-1995) and THE HIGH LOWS (1995-2005), during these 20 years this band did several million sales albums to become regent of real PUNK band in Japan. They separated into two bands namely THE BIG HIP and CRO-MAGNONS. Today, the will get together with SLANK to be punk and crazy! “We’ve been working with The Big Hip since last year. We’ll release the album in Japan first, followed by Indonesia at the end of this month,” Kaka said. Slank and The Big Hip will also perform at Diamond Hall in Nagoya on May 5 and at Liquid Room in Tokyo on May 6, Antara reported. In addition to preparing their new album, Slank are also being filmed for a documentary by acclaimed director Garin Nugroho
